Hi. I’m David.
Since I was young people have referred to me as David the artist. At school. At parties. I always heard things like: “oh yeah, that guy over there…I know that guy… that’s David. Davidtheartist…”
My big goal in life is to make the world a better place through the joy of drawing.
I believe that every person on the planet can reap the huge rewards that drawing has to offer – and that you – yes YOU – can not only draw too… but you’re much better at it than you think you are.
Drawing doesn’t have to be difficult.
You don’t have to be born talented. It doesn’t matter whether you start at drawing at 5 or at 95, and it doesn’t matter what gender you identify with or what colour your skin is.
You may not know this, but there are deeply personal benefits locked within the simple act of putting lines down on paper.
Yup. That’s right. Drawing has the ability to change you.
I know, because it changed me.
Drawing can create calm amongst the chaos. Drawing can help you focus. It can help you express yourself in ways that others forms of communication can’t, and it can bring you closer to your true self.
Believe it or not, but the simple act of putting pencil or pen to paper can help you in ways that pixels simply can’t.
I know first hand that there’s great mystery and adventure to be found within the language of shapes. In fact, every little component that makes up the world around us is constructed using shape.
Drawing is all about noticing, recognizing, and appreciating those incredible shapes.
The world around you is a geometric miracle. You’re literally 100% surrounded by an ancient language that is composed of shapes.
If you’re interested in discovering more, I invite you to join me and my Köpialine crew as together we explore and express this incredible language hidden right before our eyes.
To the peaceful,
David
